Cedar House

A dark cedar bar on a concrete plinth. One window as long as the living.

The clients asked for a house that would disappear in November. We stained the cedar until it matched the wet trunks, then cut a single aperture toward the lake. Heat is in the slab. The roof is a plane, not a gesture.
